Langer Morser mortar 21 cm
It was upgraded in 1934/35. It was part of motorized heavy mortar batteries, which were used in limited numbers at the beginning of the war (approximately 28). In 1939, a new model of the heavy 21-cm Morser 18 mortar was introduced.
10.5 cm howitzer le FH 16
The main artillery equipment of all types of divisions were 105-mm light howitzers Le FH 16. This weapon was built during the First World War, but during the September campaign it was still used by several artillery regiments of infantry divisions. Due to the limitations of the Treaty of Versailles, the Germans could not have more than 84 units of these weapons.
In 1930, the leFH 18 replaced the howitzer. However, until the end of the war, these weapons were manned by the garrison of fortresses on the coast of France, as well as police, training and reserve units.
15.0 cm FH 18 howitzer
The 149.1 mm FH 18 heavy howitzers were the main equipment of the German heavy artillery squadrons. Production began in 1934 at the Krupp and Rheinmetall plants.
Its predecessor, the FH 13, was used in fortresses.
The howitzer has already been tested during the Spanish Civil War. The newer model FH 18/40 was equipped with a muzzle brake.
In September 1939, the Germans had about 2,049 heavy howitzers. They could also be used as an anti-tank weapon that penetrated 126 mm thick armor from a distance of 1,000 meters.
7.5cm PaK 38/97
The French 75mm Schneider wz. 1897 was upgraded and mounted on the chassis of the PaK 38 cannon. The cannon's projectile could penetrate 500 mm of armor from a distance of 500 m. The cannon was only used during the transition period as temporary equipment. Polish and French ammunition was used for it, and then its own production was launched.
7.5-cm le. IG 18
The 75 mm le. IG 18 field gun was the main equipment of the infantry. In 1927, it was developed, and the gun entered service with the troops in 1932. It was the first new German cannon since the First World War.
In September 1939, there were about 2,933 75 mm guns in service. IG 18. Later, the cannon was still in use, albeit with newer, more effective projectiles.
