Job Summary
The Human Resources Assistant Manager plays an essential role in delivering an exceptional employee experience while supporting the day-to-day operations of the Human Resources department. This position partners with leaders and employees across the organization to assist with recruiting, onboarding, employee relations, benefits administration, HR compliance, employee-relations cases, and general HRIS administration.
Duties & Responsibilities
- HR Administration: Maintain employee personnel files, HRIS records, organizational charts, and employment documentation while ensuring confidentiality and data accuracy.
- HR Projects: Participate in HR initiatives focused on improving employee experience, operational efficiency, process improvement, and organizational growth.
- Recruitment & Onboarding: Coordinate the full-cycle hiring process, including scheduling interviews, preparing offer letters, conducting new hire orientation, and ensuring all pre-employment and onboarding documentation is completed accurately.
- Employee Relations: Support employee relations matters by responding to employee inquiries, assisting with workplace investigations, facilitating conflict resolution, and promoting a respectful, compliant, and positive work environment.
- Assist in developing, implementing, and updating HR policies, procedures, employee handbooks, and company programs.
- Perform other duties, responsibilities, and special projects as assigned to support business operations.
Qualifications
- Bilingual in English and Korean and/or English and Spanish preferred.
- Minimum 4–6 years of progressive Human Resources experience, preferably within the logistics, transportation, warehousing, or manufacturing industries.
- Demonstrated success managing employee relations and HR initiatives within organizations of 200+ employees.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify issues, evaluate information, and implement effective, practical solutions in a fast-paced operational environment.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook) and Google Workspace (Calendar, Docs, Sheets, Slides, Gmail, Drive).
