Loves Furniture, which reopened 18 former Art Van stores, is hiring over 100 salespeople who will start at $20 and have unlimited commission potential.

The newly formed company is looking for 100 new home and sleep specialists for its Metro Detroit stores; there are about 20 openings at its Grand Rapids-area locations. Love’s has already hired 675 people to fill positions at its new Michigan locations.

Art Van began liquidating its 97 company-owned Michigan stores in early March, and then filed for bankruptcy, and Loves is reopening at least 18 of those stores under the new retail flag.

“We are building a totally new customer experience rooted in personalized service. We are looking for great talent to join us on this journey,” said Matt Damiani, CEO of Loves Furniture & Mattresses. “Our team members will have the opportunity to help customers build homes and spaces they love in a collaborative environment where everyone can thrive. If you have a passion for interior design and an interest in creating beautiful spaces, Loves has an opportunity for you.”

Previous sales experience is not required. Loves is seeking looking for people with experience in the service industry with interest in home design. Team members receive benefits, including medical, dental and vision, 401K, paid time off and an employee discount. The $20 per hour pay is guaranteed through 2020.

Loves Furniture has job openings in the following cities: Alpine Township; Ann Arbor; Battle Creek; Bay City; Burton; Canton; Dearborn; Grand Rapids; Howell; Livonia; Muskegon; Petoskey; Port Huron; Portage; Royal Oak; Saginaw; Shelby Township; Taylor; Warren; Waterford Township; and Westland.

Loves was founded earlier this year by entrepreneur and investor Jeff Love, and is headquartered in Royal Oak. Love is the CEO of the Texas-based parent company U.S. Assets.
