| Engineering Logistics Analyst Locations: Naperville, IL., Beachwood, OH., or Jacksonville, FL. Shift: Monday - Friday 8am - 5pm (Onsite, In office 4 days a week) Position Summary: The Engineering Logistics Analyst will be responsible for supporting and performing engineering functions like routing, logistics planning, process design, reporting, data analysis, metrics and problem solving. Conduct logistics analysis for existing customers and operations, including preparation of operational reviews and operational re-design work. Assist as directed with analytical work for new sales projects and solution implementation for new and existing operations. Prepare analytical results into meaningful written documentation and presentation material for customers and operations. Major Responsibilities: Works within a prescribed process using tools to analyze data, generate standard routing or load plans, and provide reports and metrics on a regular basis to ensure solution effectiveness. Collects, validates, and analyzes data required to support operational reviews, logistics analysis, and solution development. Supports the preparation of results into documents and presentation formats. Prepares analysis and measurements of existing operational performance for - regularly scheduled customer reviews. Conducts logistics analysis using logistics modeling software tools and makes recommendations for solutions for existing customers and operations. Participates in the development and implementation of engineering solutions, including on-site training and support for existing and new customers. Handles recurring tasks which may include generating daily reports, pulling relevant data from transportation/business intelligence systems, and formatting data for easy interpretation. Meets customer deadlines and provides required metrics/reports through data extraction. Resolves situations quickly, communicates problem status, and works with the appropriate internal subject matter experts to resolve problems and support implementations. Interacts with other engineers and customers by phone, email, or in person on an as-needed basis. Completes other projects and tasks as assigned by supervisor. Qualifications: 1 - 4 years comparable work experience, internships, or studies preferred Bachelor's Degree required: Business Administration, Logistics & Supply Chain Management required Fundamental understanding or desire to learn transportation, supply chain and logistics concepts Strong written and oral communication skills Strong problem solving and time management skills required Ability to work effectively in a team environment Ability to work independently with minimum supervision Candidate must possess strong computer skills to include Access, Excel, Microsoft Word Consistently demonstrates proven ability to learn and use necessary tools Ability to follow processes and standard procedures Regular, predictable, full attendance is an essential function of the job Willingness to travel as necessary, work the required schedule, work at the specific location required, complete Penske employment application, submit to a background investigation (to include past employment, education, and criminal history) and drug screening are required.
