How you'll make an impact in this role
- Coordinate complex surgical procedures to ensure seamless operating room workflow and maximize surgical throughput.
- Manage surgeon preference cards with high attention to detail to enhance team readiness and reduce operational downtime.
- Maintain precise clinical scheduling records within EHR and scheduling systems to optimize hospital resource utilization and patient safety.
- Facilitate effective communication across interdisciplinary teams—including surgeons, anesthesia, and nursing leadership—to drive safe, high-quality patient outcomes.
- Anticipate shifts in operational demands to effectively manage competing priorities in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment.
What minimum qualifications you'll need
Education:
- High School diploma equivalency OR 1 year of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.
- Note: Required professional licensure/certification can be used in lieu of education or experience, if applicable.
What additional requirements you'll need
- A Bachelor’s degree in healthcare administration, business administration, or a related field is preferred.
- Prior hospital operating room experience.
- Direct experience in surgical case scheduling.
