| Staff BI Architect Location: Beachwood, OH or REMOTE What you will be doing: As a Staff BI Architect, you’re familiar with cloud-based architectures and have DW/BI/Analytics domain knowledge with experience in Snowflake. Also, you have experience developing and deploying self-serve analytical solutions. You will design and build high performing and scalable cloud data warehouse/database systems while providing cross-functional leadership and working with other architects, business leaders and BI software engineers. Penske Responsibilities: • Effectively lead BI team through the development (discovery, framing, design, develop, test, release and support) of a self-serve analytical solution for Penske’s business users based on detailed requirements • Provide leadership in the evaluation of cloud-based BI Application Development Tools/Techniques/ Approaches, determine the impact on strategic objectives, and manage overall implementation • Create, publish, and maintain the cloud data warehouse architecture and a roadmap for its future development • Meet with Senior & Mid-Level Management to align business process initiatives and strategies with current and planned Penske Technology Architecture • Oversee the day-to-day running of all BI cloud tools and assets, including enforcing policies, adhering to SLAs, and maintaining systems • Mentor associates and guide best practices Penske Qualifications: • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science/Computer Engineering or related field is preferred • 8+ years defining BI architecture and system integration requirements • 3+ years of experience working in cloud platforms • 1+ years working with Snowflake • Conversant in supporting cloud-based analytical solutions in a multi-cloud environment • Experience in developing and deploying self-serve analytical solutions • Experience with building integrated solutions across platforms, including Snowflake, AWS, Azure, among others • Expertise in designing, validating and implementing multiple projects (BI & Analytical) across a hybrid infrastructure (cloud to on-premise and vice versa) • Expert knowledge of the full BI software development lifecycle • Expertise in Data Modeling, analytics, and data governance • The position requires very strong communication skills as the candidate will be required to interact daily with all levels within the organization, including developers, architects, business users, and management |
