Project Manager - Labor Efficiency
Irving, Texas

Position Summary:

The project manager works on 1-3 projects concurrently. Projects will be multi-dimensional, requiring inclusion of Operations, IT, Engineering, Finance and other functional teams as required. Responsible for the formalization of a realistic project timeline and project plan. Handles many project tasks and assignments directly, delegating as needed to other subject matter experts. Ensures stakeholder buy-in and facilitates regular communication to convey progress, through the successful completion of the project.

Major Responsibilities:

Develop Go / No Go Criteria to determine which locations to deep dive

Coordinate Engineering, Operations, Finance, and CST to drive labor improvement by:

Analyzing Proforma standards to actuals across all labor functions

Creating and implementing KPI’s

Feed improvements / key learnings back to CST to improve new business solutions & proposals

Training: Create training on labor tools and KPI’s, and become the main labor trainer for all DCM associates

Create Labor Dashboard by site that includes WMS type, LMS, Incentives, Slotting, and all other relevant labor information

Standardize non-LMS incentive programs & evaluate ROI’s

Develops project implementation strategy and implementation schedule

Works closely with customer's leadership and project team during scope development and option analysis phase

Prepares presentations and status reports and deliver to leadership and customer

Conducts benchmarking analysis and communicates results to customer leadership to establish baseline for value generation and to identify additional growth opportunities

Provides performance feedback to team members and their direct manager at the conclusion of the project

Other projects and tasks as assigned by supervisor




QUALIFICATIONS:

-At least 3 years of multiple supply chain service line experience (Transportation, Warehousing, LLP, etc) preferred

-1 to 2 years of Project Management experience required

-Project Management certifications preferred

-Bachelor's degree required, advanced degrees or certifications preferred

-Strong analytical and influencing skills, written/oral communication and organizational skills are required as this position will have frequent executive communication and presentation

-Advanced computer skills including Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint required

-Regular, predictable, full attendance is an essential function of the job

-Willingness to travel as necessary, work the required schedule, work at the specific location required, complete Penske employment application, submit to a background
